THE SECRET TO HAPPINESS IS LOW EXPECTATIONS.

Expectation is event that considered likely to happen in the case of uncertainty. An expectation, which is belief that is centered on the future, may or not be realistic.A less advantageous result gives rise to the emotion of disappointment. If something happens that is not all expected it is a surprise.

Expecting something to happen will not make it happen. The problem of expectation occurs when we expect something to happen without good reasons for that expectation. If you believe expectations alone will bring you what you want, you’re using magical thinking and setting yourself for disappointment.

Many of us at some point mistakenly believe that expecting other people to behave the way we want will actually make them behave that way. This is fine if the other person is willing to do so.But what if the other person is not interested? You feel disappointed, hurt, angry.Expectations are just like opinions, everyone has one and the don’t always match up to the other person’s thoughts.

When your focus is centered on your differences in expectations, rather than our appreciation for the things the other person does right disappointment are always inevitable.Don’t assume expectations, people are not mind readers. But if you’re going to be successful, don’t expect anything from anyone you are not willing to do yourself.

THINGS YOU SHOULD STOP EXPECTING.

1.Dont expect others to know what you’re thinking when you know yourself.

2.Don’t expect others to lead you when you even don’t know where you’re going.

3.Don’t expect others to respect you if you can’t respect yourself.

4.Don’t expect others to make you a priority when you haven’t made yourself important.

5.Don’t expect others to fix things for you can’t find a solution yourself.

6.Don’t expect people to stay in your life when they’re ready to leave.

7.Don’t expect others to help you if you’re not trying yourself.

Very well said! It’s always good to think realistically. I think it’s important to remember that we are all human and will make mistakes and disappoint now and again. I think keeping that in mind helps with mental health, and helps us have a healthy balance between leaning on our loved ones when we need to and learning to depend on ourselves as well.
