Emotion is a positive or a negative experience that is associated with a particular pattern of physiological activity.Emotions produce different physiological, behavioral and cognitive changes.There are many different types of emotions that have influence on our lives and how we interact with others.The choices we make, the actions we take,and the perceptions we have are all influenced by our emotions at a given environment.
Types of emotions and how they influence our actions.
1.Happiness:This a positive type of emotion.Happiness comes when you feel satisfied and fulfilled, basically when you have all your needs satisfied.People tend to make empty promises,forget about others feel when happy.
Sadness:Feeling down in response to grief, discouragement or disssapointment.Ongoing sadness causes depression,withdrawal and loneliness.
3.Fear:Is an unpleasant feeling triggered by the perception of danger real or imagined.People in fear easily get disrupted and can’t stand for what they want.
4.Disgust:Is a response of rejection or revulsion to something potentially contagious or something considered offensive.In disgust people always shut or leave.
5.Surprise:Is a brief mental and physiological state,a startle response experienced as a result of an unexpected event.The action after often depends on the type of surprise,wether it’s positive or negative.People who are negatively surprised are can get violent or withdraw.
6.Anger:Involves a strong uncomfortable and hostile response to a perceived provocation,hurt or threat.When angry,most people do yell,break things or cry.
You should learn to regulate your emotions.The more time and attention you spend on regulating,the mentally stronger you become.Youll gain confidence while also knowing you can make healthy choices that shift your mood.When you’re in a bad mood,you’re likely to engage in activities that keep you in the same state of mind.This won’t help you in any way,try out something positive,call a friend, have a walk, listen to music.You should not let emotions control you.Learn to control your emotions to maintain good relations with others.
